August Book Displays
Our featured author of the month is Karin Slaughter. She is the #1 international bestselling author of more than a dozen mystery/thriller novels, including the Will Trent and Grant County series. The kids display invites kiddos to enjoy the “dog days of summer”. The adult display celebrates Left Handers International Day on August 13. Recently added adult non-fiction books are displayed on our “New and True” bookcase. Stop by and check out a book!
Summer Reading Officially Complete
It’s a wrap! The End of Summer Reading Party brought summer reading activities officially to a close. Children who attended 10 or more events and teens/adults who attended 7 or more events were invited to the party. Everyone enjoyed a private movie screening at the Derby Theater, playground time and pizza at High Park, and a final raffle drawing for prizes.
