What a big week at the library! Participants made ping pong headbands, created alcohol ink necklaces, explored a Bike Jam, and learned about pollinators. See the photo drop below of our very busy week. More photographs can be found on the Douglass Public Library Facebook Page. Many thanks to Carey and Al with Bike Walk Wichita for setting up and supervising the Bike Jam, plus distributing some helmets and a bike to kiddos who had outgrown their own equipment. Additional thanks to Jillian, Cally, and Madeline, interns with K-State Research and Extension, for the presentation and craft about pollinators.
Lots of fun with poster board, curling ribbon, ping pong balls, paper plates, markers, and craft sticks!
Teens/adults ventured into jewelry making with alcohol ink and metal washers.
Kids test their bicycling skills during the Bike Jam.
Participants learned about the plants that need pollination.
