The Annual Plant Sale at the Community Building begins April 11 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. You may pick up pre-order plants and purchase plants at that time. The plant sale continues April 12 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and April 13 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Emily is our new Kid Librarian! Stop by the library and check out her Book Picks display. Learn about her favorite books, where she likes to read, what she likes most about the Douglass Public Library, and much more. Emily would like to meet Laura Ingalls Wilder! If your child is age 1st grade or older and would like to be a Kid Librarian, stop by the front desk and pick up an application.
Back by popular request, the afterschool participants used perler beads to create fun designs. Miss Bailey, a high school library volunteer, made her favorite lovable dog–Snoopy. Fun fact–Bailey attended this same afterschool program when she was in elementary school! She is now a senior at DHS and will graduate in May.
