Our featured Author of the Month is Ray Hogan, a novelist of western-themed books. The adult display includes books that are work or job-related and some fun facts about the annual Labor Day Holiday. Kids can read stories and learn interesting information about our feathered friend — the chicken. Come check out the library. You won’t be disappointed!

Bakers get ready. We’re going to need a supply of baked goods for the upcoming Friends of the Library annual cakewalk fundraiser during Frontier Day. This fundraiser helps Friends of the Library support a variety of library programs and needs throughout the year. The cakewalk will be located in the Community Building this year. Other Frontier Day activities include a parade, kid’s corral, rope and run event, BBQ cook-off and much more. Check out the Douglass Events Committee Facebook page for more details.
